About Madi Marcus, PsyD
CA PSY35858 | OR 4035

I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in supporting children, teens, and adults to build healthy, meaningful relationships with themselves and others.
As a private practice psychologist, I am glad to be able to offer a range of ways to engage in therapy, including in-office care, home and park visits, school visits, and telehealth options in Oregon and California. I also enjoy offering animal-assisted therapy with Therapy Dog in-Training, Sesame, who is available to support teen and adult clients in California.
My early experiences in Southern Oregon, where I grew up surrounded by nature and beloved animals, have shaped how I approach healing—our environments matter, and context matters. I believe mindful engagement with the world around us can support our mental health.
My interest in providing specialty care to fellow people with disabilities and members of the LGBTQ+ community is informed by years of professional practice, research, and personal experience, including my diagnoses with Type 1 diabetes in early childhood and chronic migraine in early adulthood. More information about my affiliations, education, and training are available at the bottom of this page.
Outside of work, I love exploring local dog-friendly parks and trails, admiring plants in gardens and nature (all photos on this website were taken by me!), and having “couch time” with my cat and dog.
I hope that meeting with me, whether virtually or in-person, will be an opportunity for you or your child to feel supported through all of life’s complexities, figure out what you need, and build confidence to navigate the world.
Whether you are hoping to process developmental trauma, explore your identities, or find ways to engage more effectively in your relationships with yourself or others, I look forward to supporting you!

During working hours, Sesame loves sitting watchfully nearby to support you during session, and she often comes up to ask for a head pat, back scratch, or paw hold.
When not at work, Sesame enjoys her time as a couch potato who sometimes goes on outdoor adventures. Here is a picture of us during her first (known) trip to the beach. She loved it!
About Madrone Blossom Psychology
Madrone trees are resilient and beautiful all year, but I especially love when they transform during spring. Covered in delicate blossoms, they demonstrate how things can change even when we feel stuck, and grey skies and storms can give way to something new.
My practice was created to support individuals and families through all of the seasons (and challenges) of life. I hope to help you navigate the storms and blossom into a world in which your mental health can thrive.
